After this picture was taken the aircraft ended up being converted to a BT-67 by Basler and now operates for Airborne Support out of Houma (LA) as an oil spill response aircraft.

Reregistered N222RR 1971 to Bay Aviation, moved up to Alaska 1975 with various operators. Hoganair/Miami Valley Aviation 1988, sold to Basler 2006. Converted to BT-67 msn 53 and delivered to Airborne Support as oil spill sprayer 2009.

Delivered to the Army Air Force as 45-1098 just after the end of World War II, this C-47 was quickly passed through the Reconstruction Finance Corporation in December 1945. First flying in Venezuela, the aircraft returned to the USA in 1950 flying for several small carriers until bought by Basler Aviation in 2006. After turbo conversion it was sold to present owner Airborne Support in July 2009.
