G-AREK was wet-leased from BAF by Pauling Middle East Company LLC from June 1974 to February 1976. It then entered a period of storage at Southend, as seen here. It was brought back to flying status for UNI Air in June 1977, flying to Toulouse on 6th July 1977 and receiving French registration F-BYCL the same day. Proposed contracts did not materialise and the aircraft remained stored at Toulouse for 2 years until purchased for use by Falcon Airways becoming N83FA on 4th August 1979. Sadly, it crashed into a shopping mall on take-off from Griffin, GA on 4th April 1997.

Location could be Southend, but this needs confirmation.

Leased by BAF to the Pauling Construction Co and based in the Middle East for 18 months in the mid-1970's and then back to France, this time as F-BYCL with Uni Air in 6.77. Sold to Falcon Air as N83FA in 8.79 and crashed into a shopping mall after t/o from Griffin, GA on 4.4.97. Note the locally-improvised Bedford van airstairs

Ex US Navy R5D-1 Skymaster BuAer 50843 delivered in August 1944. Converted to ATL-98 in 1962. Served Pauling as a freighter from June 1974 until February 1976.
