When CP Air retired their DC-8-63s in December 1982, one was bought by Cammacorp for conversion to a DC-8-73. The other four aircraft went into storage until Worldways Canada bought all of them in the summer of 1983. C-FCPO went to Air Transport International in 1990 as the DC-8s were phased out. Converted to a freighter, the aircraft flew on until stored at Marana, AZ in 2003.
Delivered to Canadian Pacific January 17, 1968, the "Empress of Tokyo" really stands out in the snowscape. CP Air sold the aircraft to Worldways Canada in 1983 and was flown until they ceased flying in 1990. Aerolease Financial bought it in 1991 and converted the stretch eight to a freighter. Air Transport International operated the aircraft for Burlington Air Express in BAX colors and ATI colors until put into storage at Marana, Arizona in 2003.
