During Anatolian Eagle 2019, this Super Hercules of 12 Transport Squadron (12sq) of the Qatar Emeri Air Force acted as a slow-mover for fast-jet intercepts, as well as a platform for parajumpers and cargo drops.
Taken from a Transall C-160 NG. This aircraft was wearing at this time the Fighter Squadron "Vendée" markings (EC 01-005). Written off during a tragic accident which occured on 10th of March 2003, in Reims- Champagne during a mid air collision with another Mirage F1B. The two Mirage F1 were part of "Votige Victor" team. Unfortunately both pilots lost their lives.
On a fine morning on the Dutch coast I managed to catch most of the Dutch Navy's types doing circuits. I made it back to my place near Heathrow in 3 hours from the Valkenburg approach on public transport though I had to run for the BEA Trident!
During the 2001 Air Day were had a photo location near the runway. Here we had a great view on all aircraft taking off and landing. This Mirage still wears its desert colors, probably due to service in Djibouti.
