This Phantom is painted in the colours of VF-142, while flown from the USS Constellation

This Phantom had the distinction of flying with the US Navy Blue Angels 1972-1974, The fighter was transferred to the Naval Air Test Center (NATC) located at NAS Patuxent River, MD when the team re-equipped with A-4 Skyhawks. It kept the Blue Angels color scheme until finally repainted in standard operational colors during 1985.The aircraft is presently the on loan from National Naval Aviation Museum, marked as a VF-96 fighter aboard the USS Enterprise, and displayed at Sikeston Veterans Park adjacent to the airport.

This VF-103 F-4J, seen here aboard USS America, is credited with having shot down a MiG-21 on 10.8.72, but was itself w/o on 9.2.77

At the time serving VF-101 and seen here with additional bicentennial marks on the tail, this Phantom was upgraded to F-4S standard in 1983 and last served VMFA-232 at MCAS Kaneohe Bay, HI before retirement to AMARC in 11.88

This aircraft was normally displayed in the American Airpower Museum but it had been moved out as the building was being refurbished
