A rare visitor of South Dakota ANG to Leeuwarden.

Just in time to take a picture of this non standard painted Corsair before it disappears into the hangar.

Operated by the Ohio Air National Guard. It is carrying a blue tailband which indicates 166 TFS.

This A-7 was flown on 18th Nov. 1972 by Maj. Colin A. Clarke on a nine-hour rescue support mission in SE Asia for which he received the Air Force Cross. This aircraft arrived at the National Museum of the USAF for display in 1992. The Skywarrior in the background is one of the few regrets about my visit to NMUSAF as I just couldn't get a shot of it that I was happy with.

This ex-Arizona ANG aircraft served previously with 152nd TFTS based just down the road at TUS before being retired to AMARG during Jun 90 where she was given the PCN/Inventory No. AAAE0010. She made it out from the boneyard and now stands proud as a gate guard for the wonderful Pima Air & Space Museum.

A-7D Corsair II operated by 6512 Test Squadron AFFTC, based at Edwards. On the fin it carries a toned-down badge of Air Force Systems Command.

Two tone gray Corsair II from the 162nd Fighter Wing Arizona ANG. Eventually used for parts on ex-US Navy Bu 156801 after LTV converted that aircraft to the YA-7H.

Here with the Arizona ANG and now in the Miracle of America Museum and Pioneer Village, Polson, MT.

A-7D Corsair II of the Davis Monthan based 355 Tactical Fighter Wing. Retired in January 1992. It carries the TAC badge on the fin, the 355 TFW code DM and badge on the forward fuselage and the green tailstripe of the 358 TFTS.

One of 12 A-7Ds seen on a 3-week detachment from the 169 TFG/157 TFS, McEntire ANGB, South Carolina ANG, accompanied by another six from other units, for exercise "Coronet Teal". Later served Virginia ANG (named "Cadillac") then Ohio ANG and was destroyed on the Eglin ranges by a missile in Nov 2000
