Sun Centre Ultralights operates out of Wentworth, Swan Hill and Echuca using this brand-new J170.

The sign on the side says it all really: this is the Broken Hill mail-plane. Wettenhall Air Services is a charter company based in Deniliquin and Broken Hill. This early Cherokee Six was registered new in Australia on 2 February 1966.

AAAA Auster Rally

Taxying for Sydney. Built for American Eagle, this aircraft was registered N388AE (get it?) and first flew on 7 March 1996 using the flight-test reg SE-C88. It was re-registered in Australia to Rex on 15 April 2008.

N766PA was sold in Uganda as 5X-UAL in May 1976.

Built new for the RAAF and delivered to 10 Squadron, Townsville, 24 May 1962. On 6 December 1977 it made the last RAAF Neptune flight, from Townsville to Amberley, for disposal. In June 1978 it was sold to the Chewing Gum Field Museum, Tallebudgera QLD, and trucked to the Museum. In 1989 it was dontated to the Australian Flying Museum and moved to Archerfield the following year. In 1992 the registration VH-NEP was reserved, but never taken up - confusingly not the currently-registered VH-NEP.

One of two Huey Cobras at HARS for restoration, this aircraft was built as an AH-1S (PROD), later re-designated AH-1P, and operated by the US Army. In May 2009 it was delivered to HARS at Albion Park for static restoration.

This aircraft was built as a Taylorcraft Auster 5 for the RAF, being taken on charge in 1943 as NJ667. It was civilianised in 1947 as G-AJJR but later exported to Australia and registered VH-ABA(2) on 1 August 1951. Currently based at The Oaks, NSW. Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's 40th Anniversary Fly-in.

That 1930s car-like grille can only mean Globe Swift! One of only two in Australia, this one was imported in 1993 and registered VH-BYB(3) on 23 February that year. Manufactured in 1946, it was originally N78086 before going to Canada in 1982 and becoming C-FBEB. Seen here at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Chippie Rally.

The aerodrome at Finley, about 10 miles north of Tocumwal, is home to Riverina Airwork, an aerial ag operator. This shot looks more-or-less south-south-west.

Initially registered N2922U, this 1963 Cessna 172 was imported new for the Tasmanian Aero Club of Launceston, their first Cessna 172, and re-registered VH-DIN(2) on 24 October 1963. It was sold into private hands in 1973 and is currently based at Tyabb, Vic. It had recently had a repaint when this shot was taken at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Auster Rally.

Of Mabena - Wagga Air Centre, was allocated N52664 but only briefly as it was re-registered in Australia as VH-WGW(2) on 8 November 2002.

VH-UVD became L9-1/25 on delivery to the Thai air force.

VH-UVA became L9-2/25 when delivered to the Thai air force.

VH-UUI became L9-11/26 in Thai air force service.

VH-UUR has been VH- registered since 1935 and its early years were with the Divine Word Mission (Roman Catholic) in Papua New Guinea. It escaped the Japanese advance during World War II by flying to Australia. After the war it was sold to Alex Oliver, at Port Macquarie. He replaced the little Pobjoy radial with a lighter, more reliable Continental flat-four. Oliver's displays in the Klemm were famous, ending as they usually did with a deliberate deadstick landing. It was a habit that drew the ire of authorities, who wanted these arrivals reported as engine failures. -UUR was current in 2018.

VH-UUG was sold in New Zealand as ZK-MIR in June 1995.

VH-UVT was sold in the US as N16TG in July 1990.

VH-UTY was first registered in Australia in July 1966. It flew with Airfast in Indonesia as PK-OAJ from 1974 to 1982. It had already received a Soloy turbine conversion at the time of this 1985 photo but it was 2007 before its designation changed on the register

VH-UTX was on the Papua New Guinea register from 1974 to 1981 (as P2-UTX). It crashed at Well Tree Station, Northern Territory on January 25, 1986.
