This RF-4C looks in great condition! 25 years later that was completely different as 68-0576 was shot down as a QRF-4C drone over the Gulf of America on 14 August 2012. The aircraft left for AMARC on 2 May 1991 and was stored with ionventory code FP0668. It was selected for the drone program and left AMARC on 3 April 2009. It was flown over to BAE Systems at Mojave (CA) and was converted to QRF-4C. It then received 82nd ATRS code AF-366 and entered service in 2010.

Said sign also quotes this as being the last operational F-4E in service at that base. After leaving active service, this aircraft served as a BDR trainer at SJ AFB, and was later displayed there. She was placed on display at this location sometime in 2017 or 2018; it was opened and dedicated in April 2018.
