Delivered to the RCAF in 1951 as serial 1428 then bought by the B.C. Government in 1960 as above. After retirement in 1973 it spent five years as an instructional airframe at Selkirk College, BC. Then made airworthy and continued its flying career until it crashed on takeoff from Red Lake (CYRL) in November 1992 while carrying eight full 45 gallon drums. Aircraft was 500lb overweight with CofG beyond aft limit. Unable to climb, it settled to the ground. Supposedly it overturned, but here it looks remarkably unscathed, so who knows! Deleted from the register in 2018 having previously been scrapped.

Delivered to the RCAF in 1952 as serial 2291 then civilianized in 1970 as above. It had floats installed by Sabourin Lake Airways in 1976 and it stayed that way through ownership changes right up to the present in 2022.

Delivered to the RCAF in 1952 as serial 2318 then civilianized in 1965 as above. It had floats installed by Green Airways in 1970 and it stayed that way through ownership changes including sale by Vancouver Island Air when it was ferried across the N. Atlantic to Belgium for display at a recreational park. Registered as N18XW to a US trustee in 2016.

Delivered to the USAF in 1953 as a re-manufactured C-45F then civilianized and converted to tri-gear Volpar Turboliner as here. Current and Anchorage based in 2022.

Built in 1963, imported in 1972 and at this time it was based at Sault-Ste-Marie/ON. Exported as N6GJ in 1993 and current in 2021 as N62CJ.

The sole Pacific Airmotive Super Turbo Tradewind conversion. It was converted in 1966 and later bought by Winnipeg based Ministic Air and registered as C-FRGT. Less than a year later it was wrecked in a bungled approach in poor viz. Note the snow on the ground in May!

Later registered as N223JW then ferried to a German owner in July 2011. When landing at Trier-Föhren (EDRT) on 21 October 2012 the right gear collapsed causing substantial damage. Nothing further heard regarding this aircraft, up to 2021.

Looking serene moored on the Red River, this Beech 18 was wrecked in 1995 when the LH float separated on take-off from a remote lake.
