After returning the aircraft to TWA, they bought it in September 1977. When Texas International merged with Continental Airlines in 1982, it was registered N654TX. Going to Colombia to Intercontinental de Aviación S.A. (HK-3832X) in March 1993, the airliner was last with Aerocaribe in Mexico registered XA-SSW from July 1994 until stored at Mexico City in January 2002. It was later scrapped.
