This Fitter-A was commissioned into the Czechoslovakian AF in June 1966 and then flew with the 20. stíhací bombardovací letecký pluk ( 20th Fighter Bomber Air Regiment) until decommissioning in 1986.

806 was one of three Su-7s stored at Krakow-Balice in August 1991. It was later moved to the museum at Rackowice.

One of 26 Su-7s noted during a visit in August 1991 to this large former Polish air force base where at that time more than 200 aircraft were stored. This aircraft was later moved to the museum at Krakow-Rackowice.

Enjoying summer morning sunshine at IAF Museum Palam after relocation outdoors, whence the 16.8 m length and 4.99 m height of the aircraft can be appreciated. The air bleed doors, blast shield for the wing mounted NR-30 cannon w/80 rpg, 3° anhedral wings at 60° sweep and boundary layer fences can be seen. The aircraft was powered by an AL-7F-1-250 engine producing 66.67 kN thrust dry and 94.1 kN with reheat. Six IAF squadrons flew the Su-7BMK in the ground-attack role from 1968 to 1986. It was used to good effect in the ground-attack role in the 1971 Indo-Pak War, flying around 1,500 sorties.

The UM was the two-seat training version of the Su-7BM. This particular aircraft was accepted by the Czechoslovaks in 1967 and retired in 1989 but not sits outside in the yard behind the Staré Aerovka museum.

This Fitter-A is on display at the Muzeum Orła Białego. The museum is named after members of the local WWII, resistance group Orzel Bialy (White Eagle), many of whom were captured, shot and buried in two mass graves in nearby forests. The museum has relatively few planes, rather a large collection of Russian, Polish and German WWII and post-war tanks and military equipment. The museum also collects and preserves documents and historical materials relating to the military history of the city and the region.

This Fitter-A served with the VVS and was presumably left behind in Germany after the withdrawl of Soviet forces. The frame then went on display at Beelitz but is now part of an incredible private collection at Zehdenick. The collection are happy to allow visitors but please always have the courtesy to ask at reception for permission to enter the site.

Looking a little worse for wear now, this "Fitter" is displayed at the Vyskov Aviation Museum.
