China still considers Taiwan to be part of China, and they threatened to revoke the landing rights of any airline operating into Taiwan. But what you are seeing here is - officially - not a KLM plane, so why revoke KLM's rights to fly to China? Other airlines make use of similar constructions to avoid China's wrath...
