Delivered to USAAF in April 1944, and served with the 316th Troop Carrier Group of the Ninth Air Force. Assigned to the 37th Troop Carrier Squadron, it dropped troops over Normandy in June 1944, Holland in September 1944 and Germany in March 1945.

Operated by Aero Heritage Museum. Later registered N47TB to the American Airpower Heritage Flying Museum and participated in the 75th D-Day Anniversary in 2019.

Still in Department of Transport colours. Melville Gerald "Skipper" Bryan lived to fly. He flew just about any and all aircraft but the Dakota in particular CF-CUE was revered by him. He had 10,000 flying hours on this aircraft alone over his 50 years of service in the RCAF and subsequently the Ministry of Transportation. Sadly the name was lost when the aircraft was repainted into Buffalo colours.
