This aircraft was the last airworthy C-82 in the world when I took this photo in 2003. A few years later it was flown to Hagerstown, Maryland, where it is on display at the Hagerstown Aviation Museum. Barely visible on the side of the aircraft are the TWA stripes it sported in the 1950's when it ferried spare engines around Europe.

Stored for a number of years at Tamiami Airport, this aircraft was disassembled and trucked to American Aero Services at New Smyrna Beach Airport in early 2017 for rebuild.

Withdrawn from use in 1987 and acquired by the RAAF Museum at Point Cook.

Canadian Vickers Canso built as RCAF 11060. Used by Executive for surveys using anomaly gear and 'stinger' tail. Later to Point Cook Museum as 'A24-104'.

At the time this rare Packet (delivered to the USAF in 1948 as 45-57814) was used by Northern Pacific Transport to haul cargo (mainly fish) all through Alaska. It flew with TWA from 1956 to 1972, and the remnants of their livery are still visible on the fin and fuselage. Also visible are faded "Briles" titles, from its time with Briles Wing & Helicopter during the mid 1970s. In 1992 it was sold and flown to Greybull, WY, where it survived as the world's only flying Packet. In 2006 the Hagerstown Aviation Museum bought it, and the delivery flight to the museum on 15 October 2006 was the last ever flight of a Fairchild C-82 Packet worldwide.
