In its final months of operational service, this Shooting Star still enjoying a look at the active runway of Tyndall. It went to AMARC with inventory code TC1340 on 23 November 1987. To HVF West, Tucson (AZ) on 26 January 2009 and was scrapped.

Late '99, the KLu decided to retire the two F27-200MARs of 336sq which were based at Hato, Curaçao. Here M-2 is seen after its return from Hato, awaiting further plans. Eventually, it was decided to dispose them. M-2 was flown to Southend (UK) on 27 Aug'02, cannibalized and sadly scrapped. On the tail, the 336sq badge (a frigate bird) is seen, on the nose the badge of CZMCARIB (Dutch Commandement der Zeemacht in het Caribisch Gebied-Naval Sea Command Carribbean). 336sq was deactivated in 2000 and reactivated in 2004 with C-130Hs (the badge then became a Bull). Transferred to AMARC from its homebase Niagara Falls (NY) on 10 October 1990, received inventory code FP574. Moved to Fritz Enterprises, Taylor (MI) on 19 May 2000 and was scrapped. Here the FIS Spook participated in a live shooting camp at Tyndall. The ground crew give their aircraft an inspection before another flight.

Delivered to the USAF 5 January 1983 and made its last operational flight to AMARC on 12 December 1995. Received inventory code FG0339.

Deployed from homebase Jacksonville ANGB, this F-16 participated in a live shooting camp at Tyndall. The 159th FIS flew the F-106 for 12 years and like most F-106 FIS', was planned for transition to F-4 or F-15, but the USAF decided that the F-16 was the most ideal a/c for the continental air defense mission. So the unit received the F-16 from Jan'87. On 1 Apr'87, the 159th became the first F-16 unit to sit alert in an Air Defense role as a FIS on a 24/7/365 basis. In Jun'92, the FIS became a Fighter Squadron. 0759 was former TJ, HR before 159th, then Oregon ANG, since Oct'07 pres Medford (OR)

Delivered to the USAFE 50th FW at Hahn in 1983, then moved in 1992 to the Florida Air National Guard. Last flown by the Minnesota ANG before storage at AMARC with inventory code FG035 on 20 May 1996.

Tyndall based 95th Fighter Interceptor Training Squadron Shooting Star, resting at the flightline. The squadron was part of the Air Defense Weapons Center (ADWC) which was inactivated on 12 September 1991. This T-33A went to storage at AMARC in July 1988. It's fate is not known by me. The purpose of the little antenna on top of the vertical tail is not known to me. It's deviating from other T-33s.

Preserved at Charleston AFB (SC) since March 1992. Here the 136th Fighter Interceptor Squadron Phantom, deployed from homebase Niagara Falls ANGB (NY), can be seen at the flightline of Tyndall AFB (FL) during a live shooting camp. It's getting some maintenance on the APQ-109 radar

Built by FIAT Aviazione/Aeritalia as F-104G, delivered to the Aeronautica Militare in 1963, converted to RF-104G in 1977. It was eventually withdrawn from use in September 1993. It was transported for spare-parts to Istrana and by November 1996 to Verona-Villafranca. The fuselage was transported back to Istrana in 1997 while the tailsection remained at Verona for preservation. In early 2002, the whole aircraft was seen again at Istrana where it was preserved with the old maintenace hangar. In July 2012 its fuselage was seen in the Battle Damage Repair shelter at Istrana.

First flight as a GR1 20 September 1976, delivered to the RAF on 6 October 1976. The Jag was converted to GR1A and later to GR3 and GR3A. It was stripped for spares at St. Athan in late 2005 and moved by road to Everett Aero at Bentwaters.

A squadron exchange with four RF-104Gs of the 3°Stormo with one of the RAF Laarbruch squadrons took place in October 1987. Here 3-03 equipped with external cameras in Orpheus pods is pictured in landing to the RAF Germany base. MM6540 was withdrawn from use by 1995 and was moved between several dump locations, first Trapani-Birgi, then at Amendola, again Trapani and then its fuselage was seen with the Autodemolizioni F. IIi Montalto S.n.c., Viale Regione Siciliana Sud Ovest 8121, next to the highway from Palermo to Messina, just outside Palermo

First flight on 3 March 1983, delivered as a GR1 to the RAF on 27 April 1983. Followed many conversions up to GR4. The Tonka saw its last flight on 6 November 2013, was stored and cannibalized at RAF Leeming. Moved by road to RAF Boscombe Down for structural teardown by QinetiQ (after which the remains will be scrapped) in May 2014. It was eventually used at Boscombe for structural tests to destruction. It was most probably scrapped by 2017.

MM6535 was built by Fiat, and withdrawn from use in the early ninetees. After a long career dumped at Verona-Villafranca and was eventually used in a anti-fire exercise in Catania-Sigonella. It was then scrapped.

First flight on 19 Aug'76, delivered to the RAF as GR1 on 27 Sep'76. Later converted to GR1A. It was written off on 24 Jul'96 while performing Dissimilar Air-to-air Combat Training with USAF F-16s during exercise Cope Thunder from Eielson (AK). XZ361 clipped trees while in a turn some 25 miles north of Anchorage (AK). The pilot managed to retain control but the left engine was damaged and had to be shut down. Unable to restart it and with additional system warning lights illuminating in the cockpit, the pilot decided to eject. He was rescued in the woods by an Alaska ANG team.

Withdrawn from use and dumped at Verona-Villafranca in mid-1992. STored at the northside gate of Viterbo from late 1998 and later that year preserved at the Scuola Marescialli Aeronautica Militare at Viterbo (VT).
