N9341 was one of many ex-Northwest DC-9s in the Land of Sand that day. It was delivered to Air West in 1969 and also went on to fly with Hughes Airwest and Republic Airlines. Apologies for the heat haze but, hopefully, still interesting.

This 1-11 was originally delivered to American as N5031 in June 1966 and flew with them until August 1969. It was then converted to have a VIP interor and was in use for sports teams, rock bands (as here shuttling Bon Jovi around Europe), etc., until finally being stored at Atwater/Merced Castle airport in California from March 2013 and eventually scrapped.

This Il-18 was delivered on 22nd June 1967 and made its final commercial flight on 25th January 1989. It then was flown to Pápa AB in August 1989 and towed to Abda near Györ to serve as a restaurant (note the prominent slice through the rear fuselage so that the tail could be mounted on the restaurant roof). Fortunately it was dismantled and moved by road in November 2014 to the super Múzeum Letectva Košice where it is now on display.
