The Lisunov Li-2 was a Russian licence-built DC 3 and this is the world's only remaining airworthy example. It is seen here departing on a pleasure flight.

The sign in the cockpit says 'For sale.' It had a number of further owners until it was seized in Colombia in 1980. There it became HK-3994 with Sadelca in 1995 and was re-registered HK-4189 in 2001.

Bought by Canadian Warplane Heritage as C-GDAK in 1982

The ILA code 81 and the name are only carried on the left-hand side.

Stored at Long Beach for several years. Sale reported in August 1982, but fate unknown. The FAA incorrectly lists this aircraft as c/n 11352, which is not a valid number for a DC-3.
