In reality this is T.2B-144 that flew with the EdA from 1949. In 1974 it became D-CIAS with Air Classik and then from 1994 it was displayed on the spectator terrace at FRA. In 1996 it moved to the Besucherpark at MUC and acquired these false markings. The real D-ANOY 'Rudolph von Thüna' was w/o in December 1938 a flight between Berlin and Vienna.

Almost 280 Do-24s were built in various versions between 1937 and 1945. They were used by the Luftwaffe during WWII for long-range SAR & reconnaissance and by the EdA until the 1960s. This plane is a composite from the fuselage of Aviolanda-built WNr. 3385, mated with the original wing of the Do 24 that became the Do 24 ATT, WNr 3404. It was previously a gate-guard at the Dornier factory at Oberpfaffenhofen but is displayed at the Deutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim with EdA markings from 1960-1969.

The Do-31 was the only VTOL transport aircraft with jet engines ever built. Two prototypes were used between 1967-1969 as experimental aircraft for researching and testing but the project was cancelled in 1970. This aircraft was initially put into storage at Oberpfaffenhofen, then went for several years on display in the open in the courtyard of the Deutsches Museum in Munich. After restoration it is now on display at the Deutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim.

I previously photographed a wrecked Horten glider at the NASM Udvar-Hazy Center and so this was a real thrill to see how they really looked like - and how tight the fit was for the pilot. This example was discovered in Germany at the end of WWII and flown by British officers until 1950. When it became part of the Deutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim collection in 1971, the mid-section was missing and was painstakingly reconstructed during restoration work.

The Fw 44 Stieglitz (Goldfinch) was one of the best-known training and aerobatic planes of the 1940s and served until the end of WWII as the standard training plane of the Luftwaffe. This example on display at the Deutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim was built under licence in Sweden by ASJA/Saab and used by the Swedish AF for flight training until 1955. It was then sold to and flown by various private individuals and flying clubs until the 1980s until donated to the museum.

The Mü-10 Milan dates from 1934 and was the first German two-seater high-performance glider and only the second to have a tubular steel/fabric fuselage. In May 1935 the Mü-10 made the first-ever crossing of the Alps by glider, a flight that also set new records for altitude and distance, and was the first aircraft in Bavaria to be certified as a glider after WWII. It is now on display at the Deutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim.

This Colt was first registered to Aeroklubu Polskiej Rzeczypospolitej Ludowej (APRL) in July 1073 and had joined Aeroklub Bialystok by December 2003. The frame is pictured being dismantled at Bubovice (probably) for spares to keep other An-2s flying.

It doesn't look much but this Z-37 is in a bit better condition that previous photos on the web. There were guys working nearby on an An-2 so maybe this is slowly being put back together. The set of wings to the right belonged to OK-RJJ, possibly they are there to be mated to this hulk. Operated by Air Special
