On 9 August 1994, five 15sq Tornado's from RAF Lossiemouth arrived at Gilze Rijen for a squadron rotation with the locally based 314sq. On 18 August the rotation came to an end. The squadron was disbanded on 31 March 2017 in preparation for the retirement of the Tornado GR4 in 2019. This ZA607 was first flown as a GR1 on 10 May 1982. It was delivered to the RAF on 1 July 1982. Following a long career in the RAF, and modified to GR4, the aircraft was withdrawn from use on 7 January 2019. It was moved to Sealand (UK) and preserved with the Defence Electronics & Components Agency since Feb'19.

Following a long career in the RAF, and modified to GR4, the aircraft was placed into storage at St. Athan and later used for trails at Millbrook Proving Ground near Bedford. Eventually stored at Leeming and scrapped by mid-2016.
