Ordered by Canadian Airlines as C-FBCA but delivered to Varig 31st May 1991, sold as N891LF 12th Aug 1994 and to Air New Zealand as ZK-SUH 7th Nov 1994

Air New Zealand operated direct SYD-LAX services with their 747-400s for a period in the mid 1990s. Here ZK-SUH was captured late afternoon one sunny winter's day departing for LAX.

On very short final for Rwy 07R. It wasn't so easy to photographs 747s from Imperial Hill, one had to be very careful to avoid trees and cables. Really had to try and fill the frame!

The third use of this registration on a CP Air/Canadian Airlines Flagship. First was CP Air's 747-217 in 1974, which was traded to Pakistan for a DC-10 that became the second. The 747-475 was delivered February 15, 1991 and named after bush pilot and Pacific Airlines founder Russ Baker. After merging with Air Canada in 2001, the airliner was withdrawn in May 2005.

Canada's first 747-400 in it's last days with Canadian Airlines. Although Air Canada owned Canadian since January 2000, the actual merger would not begin until after March 2001. The 747 would be taken out of service by Air Canada October 2003 and stored at Marana, AZ. Sold in 2005 to Pegasus Aviation and leased to Aerolineas Argentinas (LV-BBU), it was finally withdrawn in January 2012. Engines and most removable parts were taken by the end of the year.
