Delivered new (To CAAC) as B-2444 26th June 1980 and re-registered 3rd June 1992. Returned to lessor as N136SW 3rd Dec 1999. Flown to KPLB (Plattsburgh) and scrapped Sep 2006

Delivered to CAAC in 1980. After the split-up of CAAC into 6 new airlines, in 1987; she moved to Air China, until 1999. Stored Victorvile until scrapped in 2003

Delivered new to CAAC 29th Feb 1980 and transferred to Air China July 1988. Sold as N135SW 23rd Dec 1999

Like many new entrants into the London market, CAAC (now Air China) began services from Gatwick before subsequently securing slots at Heathrow.

CAAC operated a number of aircraft for many years with N.. regs before placing them on the Chinese register.

N1304E was registered in China as B-2452 in 1988 after the US ended a requirement Chinese airliners had to be US-registered to land in the US.

The 747SP was the first wide-body for state owned CAAC. This is the second one (of six) , delivered June 26, 1980. By the time of the photo, the overseas airline division of CAAC had become Air China, but this aircraft had yet to get the new titles and tail logo. Re-registered B-2438 in 1992, it was sold to UT Finance December 1999 and parked at Victorville, CA. The airplane was ferried to Plattsburgh, NY on June 07, 2001 where is was gradually scrapped.
