Delivered new 22nd May 1980 and retired LEMD (Madrid) Feb 2005, scrapped

About to lan on runway 14 at ANC.

After an interesting history flying for famous companies like Seaboard World, Flying Tigers and Atlas Air and Federal Express this airplane ended up in Spain. Briefly flying for Pronair in its famous purple outfit. Pronair went out of business in 2009, and the airplane was abandoned at the airport in Valencia. It was still there in 2023. I managed this photo from the main terminal shooting across the runway late afternoon.

Delivered new 9th Feb 1984 and initially operated by British Airtours, transferred to mainline British Airways Oct 1984 and became TF-ARF 4th Oct 2002

Ret. on 31th May 1990 as N202AE to MEA, on 1st Jun 1990 to Air France, on 23th Jul 1991 to MEA, on 10th Jan1992 to Garuda, on 5th Jul 1993 to MEA, on 12th Apr 1995 to Garuda, on 15th Jul 1995 to MEA, re-rgd. on 27th Mar 1996 as OD-AGH. Del. on 26th Sep 1997 as N710CK to American Int'l Airways, later to NAA, Kitty Hawk and Kalitta. Stored Dec. 2008.

Ex ZS-SBJ, registered 29th Oct 1999 and to Kalitta Air as N792CK 2nd Nov 2010

Acquired Jul 99 ex ZK-NZV Air New Zealand and stored Mojave by Mar 2002. Later to Transaero Airlines (Russia) VP-BQE. Retired May 2011 and used by Transaero as cabin trainer. TT: 67705 hours and 17901.

Leased to Air Atlanta Icelandic Feb 2001 for just a month as TF-ATL. Returned Mar 2001 and two months after that it went back on the Spanish register but as EC-HVD. Retired Oct 2004. TT: 82482 hours and 12619 cycles.

Nine months later it was with Atlas Air as N540MC. Converted to cargo 243B(F)SCD Jun 2001. Retired and parked Mojave CA. Jul 2011. TT: 97038 hours and 21903 cycles.

Delivered March 1979. Retired March 2003. TT: 101612 hours and 19150 cycles.

Operated by Atlas Air. Ex Philippine Airlines N742PR. Later seen with Focus Air (N535MC then N535FC} and Southern Air (N535FC then N765SA). Retired Sep 2012.

Delivered new as EC-DLC 18th Feb 1981 then to Air Atlanta Iceland as TF-ATL 7th Feb 2001, but returned to Iberia as EC-HVD 9th May 2001. Withdrawn from use LEMD (Madrid) Jan 2005 and scrapped Nov 2008

Cargolux operated 4 different Boeing 747 with the registration LX-DCV. This was the second airframe they used this registration on, but the oldest airframe. For several years it had a joined operation with Atlas Air. The airplane formally transferred to the American carrier in 1994, but remained on the Luxembourg register. Later a small Atlas logo was fitted to the gap in the cheatline, and an American registration, N809MC.

Delivered new as a series 206BM 1st Sep 1978 and converted to SUD Apr 1985. Withdrawn from use 17th Nov 2003 and preserved Aviodrome Museum since 17th Dec 2004
