This was the first all-metal Canadian built bush plane. This prototype parasol wing version was powered by a 525 HP P&W S1D1 Wasp engine. It sank after running into a submerged log near Lost Bay on Confederation Lake 3 October 1940. Subsequently salvaged and donated to the museum for restoration. This was the final Sabre built by Canadair at Montreal before it ceased production. During its service with the Pakistan Air Force it achieved 6 kills during conflicts with India. Donated to the museum in 1996 and delivered inside a CAF Lockheed C-130. It was previously displayed with PAF markings. Apparently it needs a lot of work to get it flying again, but hopefully someone like Northwest Flying at Nestor Falls, Ontario will give it a good home.

Ex US Army 51-16509. Parked awaiting a propeller. The red ball(s) give a warning to aircraft landing over the Breezy Point road of the close proximity of power lines..

To RCAF 9 December 1941. Converted to Mk.II standard as a wireless operator trainer. Struck off 12 March 1945 with 950 airframe hours. Subsequent history not known. Seen inside the Western Canada Aviation Museum reserve store building. It has previously been used for target practice!
