This Sentinel served with air force, army and coast guard, but not with the marines, although it now carries marines markings... It was delivered as 42-15060 to the USAAF in May 1943. From 1943 until 1948 it was operated by a range of units, both army ground units and air force units (including air transport command, strategic air command). In the 1950s, the aircraft was operated by the USCG as OY-1 with serial 5060. In 1959 it was sold to the private market as N 9315H.

This Bird Dog, although carrying USAF markings, never saw service with the USAF. Although the aircraft was taken up by the USAF on 22 January 1951, it was immediately (the next day) delivered to the US Army at Fort Mason in San Francisco and subsequently shipped to Japan, to be used by the Japanese Army (JGSDF), first as H-1002, later as 11002. It remained active in Japan until the 1980s before it was shipped back to the USA and entered the private market (in 1989).

Although this Sabreliner wears the standard USAF colourcheme and USAF markings of the CT-39A, it was never operated by the USAF as such. This Sabreliner 60 was built for the private market, as you can easily see by the relatively large number of windows in the fuselage. USAF CT-39s only have two fuselage windows.

This An-2R never operated with the Polish AF. The only link to Poland is that it was built there with PZL Mielec. It was delivered to Aeroflot in November 1975 and remained there until July 1992 as CCCP-19736. In 1993, the An-2 went to the USA as N22AN. In 2000, the aircraft ended up in this museum where it first was painted to represent a Soviet AF aircraft (coded 44 white), and then to represent Polish AF "6550" (which never existed).

This former Czech AF MiG-23 arrived in this museum in 2001. There, the wrong serial was applied (by 2013, earlier photos show the original number). The original serial was 5744 (last four of the c/n). In 2019, the aircraft had been repainted to represent a Gulf War era Iraqi AF MiG-23 carrying the original Czech serial 5744 in arabic.

This MiG-21F-13 was built by Aero-Vodochody as S106. It entered service with the Czechoslovak Air Force in November 1971 and was only officially wfu by March 1991 although it had already been placed in storage at Prerov by September 1990 (when I saw it there, lined up among dozens of other MiG-21s). It first went to the museum at Kbely in 1994 and one year later it went to the USA.

This Polish AF SBLim2 probably was originally built by Avia as a CS102 and later converted to SBLim2 by PZL Mielec in Poland. It carried serial 773 while in the Polish AF. The Americans painted the last three of the c/n as the serial on the fuselage, but that was not the original serial.
