Originally built as a PT-21 with wheel spats, 41-1967.

VH-AGW had been A50-11 with the RAAF and before that S-29 with the Dutch East Indies Air Force. It was civil registered in 1951.

VH-DBD was registered in May 1974. It had previously been A50-23 with the RAAF, not A50-11 (MSN 459) with which has no connection.

VH-CXR was registered from December 1961 until it crashed on July 20, 1985 at an air show at Wyndham, Western Australia, killing the pilot.

Built in 1940 and a recent arrival in the UK

VH-AGR was flown to Australia to escape the Japanese advance in World War II, operated by the Netherlands navy in the East Indies (Indonesia). It was impressed into the RAAF, then sold after the war ended. Then the story gets complicated. There were three Ryan ST-M2s registered VH-AGR and this is the third, registered in 1958. The first (MSN 483) crashed and the fuselage of the second (MSN 475) was used it its rebuilt, giving it a new identity. Then it crashed and another fuselage used (MSN 466). This third aircraft was sold in the US an N2617W in 1981

Ex RAAF and Royal Netherlands East Indies Air Force, VH-AGW was registered 1947 and still registered 70 years later.
