VH-III was registered in February 2013. The register shows it as serial number "A10-353", but this is not a valid Corsair c/n. Identity thought to be ex BuNo 124493, but ex BuNo 123168 is also quoted. It may in fact be a composite airframe.

This aircraft was built in 1938 as one of 6 model ST-A Specials for the Guatemalan Air Force. It was recovered to the USA from Guatemala in 1958. Registered N17351, it may never have flown as such. It seems to have been re-registered in 1986 as N17347. Imported to Australia in 2012 and restored as a Honduran Air Force gunnery trainer, complete with machine gun blisters, it was registered VH-SQD on 10 December 2015.
