Delivered to Trans Europa as EC-BRJ in 1970. To CTA as HB-ICI in 1980 then to Istanbul Airlines as TC-ALA in 1989. To Líneas Aéreas Suramericanas as HK-3837X in 1993. Scrapped at Bogota in 2001.

In the 1980s and 90s this airframe was flying holiday charters in Europe. The history includes OO-LLS for Constellation International in 1995/6.

An early 727 which began life with Eastern as N8119N in 10.64 and was converted to freighter config in 12.82, spending the next couple of years in Australia as VH-LAP, then reverting to the US reg and flying for various cargo carriers. Had three Venezuelan registrations in the early Nineties and leased by LAS from the beginning of 1993; wfu by 2006 and b/u at Bogotá 9.07

Originally intended for TWA, the first airline operator of this Caravelle was in fact Austrian who registered her as OE-LCU. To Euralair 1.72 and became F-BTDL, then sold to Air Martinique in 3.80 as F-OGJD. Bought by TAC Colombia 3.81 and airline renamed Aerocesar; to LAS 8.89 and last recorded as stored at Panama City in 12.93, presumed scrapped there

Only 39 CL-44s have been built, and this aircraft was the last one. It first flew in March 1965, and was delivered to Loftleidir of Iceland a year later, as TF-LLI. Unfortunately it came to a premature end when it crashed on approach to Barranquilla, Colombia on 6 July 1988.
