Delivered to the USA in July 1998 and became N983DC in October of that year. Was still in full Air North colors by 2019.

It was just so nice to see working 748s again. I made a day trip drive up from Seattle and it was worth it for these old Budgies alone!

Air North operated five DC-3s in the early years. This is the only one to have a serious accident. Flying back on August 19, 1995 after a two year lease to Waglisla Airlines in Vancouver, the right engine had to be shut down due to an overspeed propeller after take-off. Returning to Vancouver, the aircraft struck the bank of the Fraser River turning to the runway and was written off.

Built as 43-16367, this C-47B was bought by Air North bought in May 1986 and soon painted in their new green and yellow colors.

Not even half way through it's career here, "Bert" was delivered to the RCAF March 28, 1953. The air force put it into storage in September 1957. Sold in 1965 to De Havilland Canada, who refurbished and sold it as CF-SUB to Coast Range Airways of Atlin BC. The rugged bush plane would operate the next 21 years in British Columbia and the Yukon before working one summer in Ontario in 1987 and then moving to Cargair Ltee in Quebec. Sold in 2007 to Air Mont-Laurier in 2007, it was cancelled from the register in early 2017.

Originally delivered to the Kuwait Air Force in 1963. The Caribou came back to Canada as C-GVYZ in 1979 flying for several companies and shown here with Air North at its Whitehorse base. Sold to Kenn Borek in 1988. Bought by Caribou specialist New Cal Aviation in 1992 and leased to Air Tindi for 3 years, Vintage Props and Jets acquired it in 1997 as N112CH, but unfortunately it was damaged in a windstorm at New Smyrna Beach, FL in August 2001 and made unflyable. It was broken up there 7 or 8 years later.

Late evening sun as the longest day approaches. Starting out as N779N "Rappahannok Pacemaker" with Piedmont in July 1980, C-FJLB flew it's last flight into Whitehorse April 10, 2015 and was retired.
