A Norwegian F-16AM in a warzone, topped of with live GBUs, Sidewinders and a targeting pod. The Norwegians shared the deployment within ISAF with the Dutch F-16s and together they formed the "first Netherlands / Norwegian Expedition Air Wing (EEAW) F-16 International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Detachment 4", or in short 1 NLD/NOR EEAW F-16 Det ISAF-4. The Norwegians relieved the Belgiums with 1 NLD/BEL EEAW F-16 Det ISAF-3.

This F-16BM was painted in the colours worn by Spitfire IX PL258 in 1944 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Norwegian Air Force. On 29 December 1944, when the Norwegian RAF 331 Sqn was operating out of Woensdrecht, in the liberated part of the Netherlands, this Spitfire crash landed in occupied area in the north east of the country. The remains were found at the crash site in 2018 after which the Norwegian Spitfire Foundation embarked on an ambitious restoration project.

First arrived in Norway in 1958 as part of NATO's Military Assistance Program and flown by 331, 336 and 338 Squadron. In 1961 it suffered a mid-air collision, but with only slight damage. It was taken out of service in 1966 andput into storage. In 1978 it was acquired by the museum, which restored it in the color scheme of 331 Squadron.

Built as an F-16A and assigned USAF serial 80-3682 but taken on charge Mar-1984 by the Norwegian AF as 682. By May-2000 converted to F-16AM.

This F-16BM of 331 Skv received special colors as the RNoAF celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2019. Norway was inspired to paint this F-16 in the colors of an aircraft they once used: Spitfire IX, PL258 FN-K, of 331 (Norwegian) Squadron. This Spit has a Norwegian wartime history. FN-K crash landed on 29 Dec 1944 near Tubbergen (Netherlands). Remains of the wreckage were located by a team of the Norwegian Spitfire Foundation. These remains now form the core of a restoration project (temporary registration G-NSFS) that will become PL258/FN-K in Norway. The F-16 also sports D-Day stripings.
