The gate guardian at the RNoAF's museum at Oslo Airport is now a NATO Tiger from 336 Skv.

One of 16 AW.101s on order for the Luftforsvaret (Royal Norwegian Air Force). It carries a British military serial for testing and it was displayed at the Farnborough airshow prior to delivery. It was later allocated serial 0273 in Norwegian service. The badge behind the cockpit is that of Hovedredningssentralen (Joint Rescue Coordination Centre). There are two in Norway - South (Stavanger) and North (Bodø). They use the same badge. All rescue helicopters are allocated to 330 Skv whose motto is Trygg Havet. There is a double meaning. The English translation may differ depending on the task of the squadron. 'Secure the Seas' in MAROPS and 'Safety on the Seas' in SAROPS.

Built in 2009, to the USAF in 2009 as 09-5607, to the Norwegian Air Force (355 Skv) that same year as 5607.

334 Skv, Royal Norwegian Air Force. Pilot for this test flight was Capt Mark Fairlie (CAF), his callsign "Musket 90" and he could handle a 104 like no other. And he was well over 6 ft! Sadly Mark "Marcus" Fairlie passed away in April 2006. Blue Skies Marcus.

The serial of 281 is derived from the last three digits of the airframe's US FY number, which is 78-0281. This particular aircraft was licence built by Fokker in the Netherlands, as were the other 59 F-16A and 12 F-16B ordered by Norway in July of 1975.

This Norwegian Viper arrived back at Kabul with live GBU air to ground bombs, a filled 30mm canon and air-to-air Sidewinders, so it did not fight the Taliban this time. The Norwegians shared the deployment within ISAF with the Dutch F-16s and together they formed the "First Netherlands/Norwegian Expedition Air Wing (EEAW) F-16 International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Detachment 4.
