The Sea King of 846sq was deployed to Kandahar supporting the UK Operation Herrick within the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). The helicopter made its first flight on 1 May 1980 and was delivered to the Royal Navy on 3 June 1980. The Sea King was sold as spares only to Pakistan as one of seven surplus Royal Navy Sea Kings. It was handed over on 25 May 2017
