The graceful lines of the Buccaneer can really be appreciated from other angles as well as side on.

Built in 1956 as a F6 she went first to 92 Sqn but then transfrerred to 65 Sqn. based at Duxfiord. She susequently served with 1, 54 Sqns. and 229 OCU before joining 1 Tactical Weapons Unit where conversion to 6A standard took place. She was acquired by the IWM in 1986.

This aircraft had been retired from RAF service by the time it was seen here though it is still displaying full RAF markings. It is now preserved at the Brooklands Aviation Museum.

Built as an MR.2 and first flown in 8.53, this Shackleton operated with 204, 210 & 205 Sqns before conversion to AEW.2 in 1972. After service with 8 Sqn as "Rosalie", wfu 1981 and used for crash rescue practice at St Mawgan. Refurbished in MR.2 configuration in 1989 and resided just inside the main gate, looking splendid. By 2015 though was under threat of eviction by the RAF

Supermarine Seafire F.XV built by Cunliffe Owen Aircraft at Eastleigh, Hants. It is about to be scrapped at RNAS Stretton, Cheshire.
