A very nice and almost new bizjet on final approach for Palm Springs

This aircraft brings one of the warbird pilots to Palm Springs.

On display in its own hangar at the Palm Springs Air Museum. This aircraft had a total of 5,140 flight hours before retirement. This particular aircraft was known as "Black Devil" and has several hundred combat hours. It is one of a very small number of the type displayed at museums.

Built in 1958. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB with park code FN196 in 1990. Left in 1993. Converted to QF-106B drone AD268. Withdrawn from use in 1997 after a ground fire. Sold in 2000 and moved to El Paso, TX for restoration. To the Palm Springs Air Museum in 2018.

Tier 1 Engineering, in collaboration with Lung Biotechnology, started developing a battery-electric retrofit of R44, N3115T, powered by a Yasa Motor in 2015. It hovered on Sep. 13, 2016 and made a five-minute cruise flight on Sep. 21, 2016 at Los Alamitos Army Airfield (KSLI). The motor was transferred to R44, N584AK, which flew on July 26, 2021 with a new 800 lb. battery. In Dec. 2021, magniX delivered a magni250 motor for installation in N3115T. It first flew on June 4, 2022. On Oct 29 it made the world's 1st electric-helicopter cross-country flight from Thermal (KTRM) to Palm Springs (KPSP)

This aircraft has recently been acquired by the Palm Springs Air Museum and is on permanent display there. It was Walt Disney's aircraft, purchased in1964 and was on display since its retirement in 1992 in Florida. You can see a likeness of Walt Disney painted in the rear window.

A recent addition to the museum, this AT-6D carries the nickname "Heave Ho' on the other side of the nose.

Airbus EC135T2+, N161WC, landing at Palm Springs International Airport (KPSP) to refuel. This is one of two EC135s operated by the Washington Companies owned by billionaire Dennis Washington of Missoula, Montana. The other helicopter is usually based on board Washington's private yacht Attessa IV which is based next to the company's Seaspan Shipyards in North Vancouver, British Columbia. The helicopter was previously registered D-HECR and N167AE.

Mercy Air's Thermal, California-based Airbus EC135P2+, N135CM, landing at KPSP Palm Springs International Airport to refuel. A division of air ambulance provider Air Methods, Mercy Air has 15 emergency medical service helicopter bases in California and three in Nevada.
