EDI was fogbound, as was the first alternate GLA, resulting in many aircraft diverting instead into PIK.

First delivered to BEA on 11.3.54 and then Cambrian in 3.63, "Scottish Princess" was one of a pair of V.700s based at Prestwick in 1973 by BOAC for connector services. Broken up in BA c/s at SEN after three years storage in 5.79. The other in the BOAC pair was c/n 7 G-AMOG "Scottish Prince", now preserved in its original BEA colours at Cosford

First flown on 18 December 1970. Retired in 2015. Ended up in a private collection in Myjava, Slowakia.

Built in February 1953 for the US Navy as R6D-1 131591. Transferred to USAF in 1958 as C-118A 51-17642 and here operated by MATS wearing contracted serial 07642. Returned to USN as C-118B 131591 in 1964.

Royal Canadian Air Force Sabre 5 23038 (left), ex 422 Squadron, cocooned and stored by Scottish Aviation at Prestwick after replacement by Sabre 6s. The aircraft, together with many other early Sabre 5s, was scrapped by SAL in 1961.

Delivered new to Scandinavian as SE-BDF in June 1948. Later SE-BDF with Transair Sweden and PH-TRA with Transavia Holland. Bought by Flughjalp in May 1969 and stored at Prestwick from early 1970 with titles and registration deleted.
