After a while in all-white, she was repainted in Braathens' Aurora Borealis colours during the summer of 1998. To Air Baltic as YL-BBB in November 2003. Returned to SAS Norge June 2007 as LN-BRJ. Delivered new to SAS 13 June 1956, she served on European and Scandinavian routes for the tri-national airline until November 1976 when she was sold to Botswana Desert Airways and the registration 3D-AAC was applied, but not taken up. She was then sold to Nor-Fly as LN-MAP where she remained until 1983 and withdrawn from use at Fornebu where she ended as a fire trainer. Build in 1990 for Air Europe but not taken up. Delivered to Transwede Airways August 1993, rebranded Braathens Sverige April 1998. In July 2000 to Proteus Airlines/Air France as F-GPNK. Between June 2010 and September 2019 with Helvetic Airways as HB-JVH. Withdrawn from use at Bratislava in January 2019 and moved to Fantázia Liptov Park in Northern Slovakia June 2020.

An employee was celebrating his 25th anniversary with the airline and SE-LFP was decorated with John Kvistbo 25 Years S.A.S. It was quickly removed.

First flown in February 1969 and delivered new to Malév the next month. Malév started scheduled service to Oslo-Fornebu once a week April 1st 1969, using Tu-134 on Tuesday afternoon. The routing was Budapest to East Berlin-Schönefeld and Copenhagen-Kastrup to Oslo-Fornebu, returing the same way. In 1971 they changed to twice weekly, Mondays and Fridays. SAS was chosen to repaint this ex AUA DC-9 at their Koksa Hangar at Fornebu, that was responsible for the technical support of large fleet of DC-9s and MD-80s in ths SAS fleet. March 15th 1996 N948VV Valujet. September 24th 1997 N948VV AirTran Airways transformed,. January 1999 rr N948AT. 2003 WFU at Orlando, and in 2004 broken up there. My good friend Odd Einar Lønnve photographed it ouside Hangar 2, before delivery to BMA.

First flight 1963, delivered new to Malév June 12th 1963. 1971 was the year MA expanded to come twice a week, on monday afternoon with IL-18, and on friday afternoon with Tu.134A. July 29th 1978 the IL-18 flights were stopped after HA-MOC crashed on final aporach to Kastrup that afternoon. I actually wathed taqht final deprture from Fornebu, and one hour later I saw it had carshed in the sea on the TV news... First flight 9 August 1976, delivered new to Aeroflot in 1976 as CCCP-88187. 1992 to Latavio as CCCP-88187, operated for the Latvian government. Seen here as such, in Latavio - Latvian Airlines c/s with logo, but with large Latvija titles and the Latvian coat of arms. 1993 to EW-88187 with Belavia, to the Belarus Government 2005. 20 October 2013 it was seen being assembled at Minsk for preservation. August 2019 preserved, and moved to a new airport at Lipki in 2020, (an ex Soviet Air force base, located 10km east of Minsk). Here seen parked at Fornebu in November 1992.

First flight May 17th 1978 at Long Beach, and delivered new to Ghana Airways July 13th 1978. Seen parked at the old part of Fornebu in 1992, due to a long period of technical issues at the SAS technical base at Fornebu, which was responsible for technical life of the SAS DC-9 and MD-80 fleet. April 12th 1997 it was dbr at Abidjan, as it veered off the runway resulting in the undercarriage to collapse, and it was written off aft flying almost 19 years.

Landing around 22:00 as the sun is setting over the hills west of Fornebu, this was one of very few flights that operated during the ATC strike in June 1998 as it carried the Crown Prince, the Royal Family being exempt from the strike. This was also the aircraft promoting the Norwegian soccer team for the 1998 World Cup.

Braathens SAFE replaced their -200 fleet with -400s and -500s. LN-BRC was delivered in March 1990 and stayed with the airline until leased to in September 2000. The next and last operator was Smartavia between 2009 and 2012. The airframe was scrapped at Bournemouth. Seen here sproting the short-lived KLM-Northwest Alliance sticker on a murky April Monday when winter returned.

When LN-WIL was delivered to Widerøe's in 1995, it was named Florø after the city on the west coast of Norway where Widerøe's had an operating base. In 2000 the airline lost the PSO service to that city and closed the base. LN-WIL was renamed Narvik in a ceremony held in Narvik to commemorate 25 years of scheduled services to the STOLport. LN-WIL operated the last flights in and out of Narvik-Framnes on 31 March 2017 with a crew who all were born in Narvik.
