N197JQ was the third 737-200 leased in by BU between 1987 and 1993. It was Braathen SAFE's first Summer Plane in 1988. Repainted in almost standard Braathens colours, except for the grey lower fuselage, and given the famous name "Olav den Hellige" or "Olav the Holy" in English. It left BU in April 1992. Seen taxing for a rwy 24 domestic flight.

Preservd by Tehran Aeriopace Exhibition Centre. TWA started JFK-flights to GEN summer 1988. To FBU from May 2nd 1989 to compete with SK907. These flights were also operated summer 1990. First flight January 1st 1968 as F-WLGB. Delivered new to Sterling February 23rd 1968. March 1975 EC-CMS TAE (leased in basic NB colours). December 18th 1981 OY-STD Sterling (returned). April 1991 wfu and stored at Copenhagen Kastrup airport. Partly broken up, fuselage used as a training centre, before its relics was used in the fire dump. Seen taxing out for a rwy 24 departure. May 2nd 1989 all charter flights at Gardermoen (ENGM/GEN) was moved to FBU as the single runway at GEN was to be renewed.

First flight January 26th 1989, delivered to SAS March 2nd 1989 as SE-DIF "Hjorulv Viking". Spring 2001 SE-DIF repainted to the new SAS colours.. July 22nd 2007 EC-KJE Spanair, painted in Star Alliance colours. January 24th 2012 wfu and stored at Barcelona as Spanair ceased its operations. LN-RCB was the 2nd B767 delivered to SAS April 22nd 1989. On May the 1st LN-RCB was baptized "Astrid Viking" by Norwegian Princess Astrid, prior to the opening of the daily scheduled SK907/908 FBU-EWR-FBU. LN-RCB did not last long with SAS, wfu November 1991 and leased to Air Europe as I-AEJC. LN-RCB for SAS again end of october 1993, but wfu June 1994. August 10th 1994 N984AN Avianca. January 2013 HS-BIG Business Air. October 2014 N84AN Sky Holding Company, January 2015 stored in Texas, USA. 2017 broken up there. August 2004 CS-TLO EuroAtlantic Airways. November 2017 N1511A Atlas Air, converted to freighter in March 2018. April 2018 opb Atlas Air for Amazon Prime Air. May 1st 1989 was the opening day for the NEW SK907/908 scheduled flight from FBU to Newark (KEWR/EWR) with brand new B767-300s. So SAS sent SE-DKO to ensure a back-up aircraft, and it was towed to a remote parking until SK 907 had left with LN-RCB

SE-DAS was one of 17 DC-0-41s delivered to SAS in 1974 with Y122 seating for domestic services, replacing DC-9-21s which were to be used for thin international services, and also replacing the last Caravelles in the SAS fleet. SE-DAS had the name "Gardar Viking". 1984 SE-DAS was repainted to the colours on this photo, and reconfig CY105. April 1988 SE-DAS was named "The Viking King" for the Swedish King's official visit to the USA. It was not renamed to "Gardar Viking" again until 1990. December 2nd 2001 N9229TW American Airlines fleet no 4UV. April 2003 Wfu after more than 20 years in the air and stored at Roswell in May 2003. June 2006 bnougth by Jet Midwest, but later broken up. Seen taxing to depart rwy 24 this grey monday in May 1989.

First flight March 3rd 1988 as F-WWEI, and delivered new to Pan Am Express March 31st as N4207G and based at Tempelhof airport in Berlin. Pan Am started services from Tempelhof to FBU in 1988, and this one was quite new when I photographed it in September 1988. December 1991 N4207G Trans World Express. Returned to ATR as F-WQBV. February 1997 YR-ATY for TAROM Seen on final approach rwy 06 arriving from Berlin- Tempelhof.

First flight February 5th 1976, and delivered new to Finnair as OH-LYP February 20th 1976. June 1977 N9MD leased to Toa Domestic. October 28th 1978 OH-LYP Finnair (returned). 1998 OH-LYP flew with orange logo for Stockholm as European Cultural Capital 1998. May 2003 wfu and stored at Helsinki. April 24th 2004 UR-CCT UM Air.2009 wfu and stored at Kiev and has remianed derelict there for many years. Seen taxing out for the morning departure back to Helsinki from rwy 24.

Tower Air came twice averey sunday in May 1989, one from JFK and one from Miami. This photo is my first photo of a 747 at Fornebu, seen before the returnflight via Arlanda back to JFK. (Part ot the "Charter 89") when GEN was closed uintil September 15th 1989.

June 2011 wfu and stroed. In stead of flying the scheduled returnflight to LGW, it was towed to the old part of airport, and the BU hangar probably due to some kind of snag, and did not leave before the next day.

After sepdning the night in the BU hangar, it is seen the morning after, being made ready to rerturn to LGW around noon.
