A quick early morning shot as I head in to work. It was reportedly placed in storage at Ashkhabad in Feb 2006 and then sold to the Chinese Air Force in Apr 2016 as 78612.

Sadly not a memorable picture due to the weather and light conditions.

Noted stored Cologne 2002.

Registered to WDL Nov 95 ex PH-FON and VT-ETE Citylink Airways (India). Still in the basic Citylink cols. It was retired not very long afterwards and was moved next to the Flight Academy building at Mönchengladbach Airport, Germany. It has been there ever since right up to this day (22 July 2019).

Later EI-COQ Azzurra Air and SE-DJP Transwede Airways.

Later to the Algerian Air Force as 7T-WIN

It went to Air New Zealand Nov 2001 and retired Jul 2013. Seen stored Goodyear AZ May 2014.

Still owned by Bombardier Inc. pre delivery to Dac Air. Re-reg YR-GPV Jul 96. Returned to Bombardier Inc. Nov 98.

Crashed attempting to take-off from Kinshasa just under 2 months later on 6 Jun 96. From the ASN accident report: "Earlier that day the Ilyushin had hit an electricity pole on takeoff from Cairo. Repairs took 7 hours before the aircraft could continue to Kinshasa. The crew taxied backwards by using the thrust reversers and forgot to extend the flaps before takeoff. The aircraft failed to lift off, veered off the runway with the nose gear up in the air, ran over rough ground, ended up in a hollow, turned over, broke up and caught fire". In this photo the aircraft carries small titles and logo near the cockpit.

Now with the Atlant-Soyuz Airlines logo crudely painted off the tail and allegedly, according to my log at the time, operating for Ukrainian airline Yuzhmashavia.

Ex VR-HMV with Cathay Pacific, N372EA with Eastern Airlines and originally D-AERA with LTU. It was with Nordic East from Jun 95 to Jun 96. Later to Air Atlanta Icelandic TF-ABV.

Little known about this airline. It acquired this ex Eastern Airlines (N808EA) in Feb 96. By Mar 97 it had returned to the USA. To my knowledge it was their only aircraft.

Operated by Scorpion Air. Acquired Jan 96 ex Air Ukraine UR-26504. The Air Ukraine logo can still just about be seen on the tail.

Acquired ex Aeroflot in Dec 94. It initially operated with Siberian Airlines titles but still in basic Aeroflot cols. It came to Maastricht for repaint and this is taken on the day it rolled out of the paintshop in the new livery. Pity about the weather. Retired circa 2004. Scrapped circa 2008.

Later operated with Kish Air as EP-LBR. Reported in 2018 as preserved at a coastal park on Kish Island.

Operated by Air Memphis still in the basic livery of previous operator, ZAS Airline of Egypt (SU-DAC). Before that it was British Airtours, British Airways and BOAC as G-AVPB. Written off when it crashed on take-off from Mombasa, Kenya, exactly 2 years later on 10 Mar 98.
