Looking great in full NLM colours, the Fokker Heritage Flight F27 was unfortunately grounded due to insurance complications. This is a very historic aircraft, being the third F27 to fly and the first to be operated by an airline after Aer Lingus took delivery of her on 19th November 1958 as EI-AKA (subject of the original Airfix kit)

Nicely preserved at the Aviodrome in her original demonstrator colours, the second prototype Fokker Friendship had a long career with LTU, IFG and WDL as D-BAKI before acquisition for preservation in 1995. Actually the third F27 built, as the second was a static test airframe; parts of prototype F27 PH-NIV's fuselage are stored behind one of the hangars at Lelystad

Dutchman Frits Koolhoven designed this fighter for the British BAT company in 1918. F1654 was used for racing after the war, wearing these colours and provisional civil registration K-123. Beautifully restored, it was moved to the grand Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam in 2012, even though it's hardly a Dutch aircraft.

It served with the Spanish AF as T.2B-212 until 1976, when it was sold as G-BECL. Seen at the wonderful Airshow Lelystad 2004. This jet, delivered to the USAF in 1949 as 48-178 and serving as such until 1958, was restored to flying condition during the early 1970s by Ben Hall. He also painted it in the Korean War 4th FIW markings it still carries in this photo. Its current owners bought the jet in 1990 (ex N178, N68388), and first flew it on 21 May 1992. By mid 2017 this Sabre was still flying (now as N48178, still in the same markings), as the world's oldest flying jet!
