A Dutch F-16AM in a warzone, topped of with live GBUs, Sidewinders and a targeting pod. The Koninklijke Luchtmacht deployed four F-16s in support of ISAF. This deployment was shared with initially the Belgiums, and later with the Norwegian. The Dutch and the Norwegians formed the "first Netherlands / Norwegian Expedition Air Wing (EEAW) F-16 International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) Detachment 4", or in short 1 NLD/NOR EEAW F-16 Det ISAF-4. The Norwegians relieved the Belgiums with 1 NLD/BEL EEAW F-16 Det ISAF-3.

On the north side of Kabul International Airport, a small dump was found with several aircraft, among others, this An-12BP fuselage.

Initially in medium brown/olive drab/dark brown camo c/s in Jan'94 and appropriated operated by the Taliban Militia and later captured by the Northern Alliance at Bagram AFB (on a photo taken in Pakistan in 1998 with the roundel of the Northern Alliance). The 32 was seen at Kabul in Mar'02 without roundels and started to operate with the Afghan National Army - Air Corps (ANAAC) Fixed Wing. The ANA_AC was renamed the Afghan Air Force June'10. The aircraft was repainted in grey and eventually grounded in Nov'09. It was cannibalised for spares, last noted in Apr'10, fate unknown...

At the time this picture was made, this CASA was registered with Devon Holding & Leasing, a shadow company that is related to CIA operations. The aircraft was registered to N464HA (still with Devon Holding & Leasing Inc.) in June 2012 and Quality Aviation LLC (still as N464HA) in February 2020. With the latter company it was reregistered to N883VA (March 2020) and N883QA (August 2020). Possibly to tangle up us all...

This '93 built Il-76 was delivered to Aeroflot as CCCP-76844, was transferred to Tashkent Aircraft Production Association (TAPO) as UK-76844 in Nov'95. It further flew with Krylo (as UK-76844) and Inversija (as YL-LAR). Silk started to operated the Il-76 from Dec'04 as 4K-AZ26 and was seen as such at Kabul. It returned to TAPO but was stored at Tashkent-Vostochny following the closure of the factory. Reported as 76844 without titels and then... possibly as 27695 with the Chinese Air Force from Apr'19: making it look like '27695' in bluish grey c/s with light grey undersides, military roundels.

Nice departure

This Beech served Dynamic Av Lease at the time the picture was made. The King Air is former C-12C 76-22553 of the US Army. It was transferred to the "civil" market on 5 Feb'99 as N255AG with AGES Aircraft Sales & Leasing. In that same month the Dynamic Aviation Group Inc. started to operate the aircraft, most probably in support of US Government agencies. On 24 Apr'01 the Beech was reregistered to N612SA and kept that one until Dec'10 when it became N42J with Dynamic AvLease Inc.. In Mar'19 the King Air was converted to Beech A200 with still Dynamic AvLease Inc.

Registration not visibly carried, but c/n 30786 was noted through the cockpit windows. P2-PAX was also seen at Kandahar in Aug 2005, and made several flights between January and March 2006. Had been withdrawn from use by Jun 2013, possibly much earlier.

This Boeing was newly delivered as F-GCDH to Air France on 26 February 1981. Since October 1992 it served as YA-FAY with Ariana Afghan Airlines. From October 2014, the aircraft was transferred to the Afghan Air Force as initially YA-FAY and later on serial 410, serving the Presidential Flight.
