Delivered new 14th Dec 1993 and merged into Air Canada Apr 2001

A simple history for this Air Canada 727 from delivery on April 17, 1979 until sold to Federal Express November 18, 1992 as the the type was withdrawn. Converted to a freighter by March 1993, the aircraft flew with FedEx until stored at Victorville, CA in May 2012.

Leased by Canadian Airlines February 2, 1994, C-FNVU was painted in the new "Proud Wings" color scheme in 1999 as they began an image make-over. The airline did not have the cash to pull it off though, and was bought by Air Canada in 2000. The Airbus was painted in the Air Canada Tango color scheme in November 2001 before getting full Air Canada colors in 2003 when Air Canada Tango was re-integrated back into the main line. The aircraft is still current with the airline at the time of uploading.

Ex Braniff, this aircraft was converted to a CV580 in July, 1967, and rr N5837.
