Here can be seen the method used for lifting floatplanes out of the water and moving around. The carrying device is positioned under the float spreader bars, then hydraulically lifts the whole aircraft. A half-car is often used as the two wheel configuration is more maneuverable than four and favorite model is a 1970s Oldsmobile Toronado which has front-wheel drive.

The American Eagle A-1 was designed in late 1925 as a training aircraft to replace WWI biplanes, such as the venerable Jenny, then in use by the Porterfield Flying School. The prototype A-1 first flew at Richards Field in Kansas City, MO on 9 April 1926. Small modifications made to the design in 1927, including ailerons on the lower wings, led to the A-101 designation and approximately 300 in total were built. It is on display at the Yanks Air Museum.

This plane is a new reproduction build by Flug + Werk GmbH from the ground up using many original dies, plans and other information from WWII. Werk numbers continued from where Focke-Wulf left off, with the new Fw 190s being labeled 'Fw 190 A-#/N' (N for Nachbau 'replica'). This example is part of the Planes of Fame museum and wears the scheme of Luftwaffe ace Oskar Bosch.
