One of two UK-built trainer Canberras given RAAF serials, this aircraft was brought on RAAF charge on 3 May 1956. Served with 82 Wing and suffered two accidents, but repaired, then to CFS at East Sale. From 1963 various disposal options considered including sale to WRE Edinburgh and to the Indian Air Force, or use at ARL for fatigue testing. Ended up at RSTT Wagga Wagga as an instructional airframe. Bought by HARS Sept 1989 & in the process of restoration.

Built as an S-2E, Bu 152812, in 1966 for the USN. Converted to S-2G, then to VS37 NAS North Island & USS Kittyhawk. Retired 15 June 76 & stored Davis Monthan. Purchased by RAN to replace Trackers destroyed in Nowra hangar fire & delivered to Australia aboard HMAS Melbourne in April 77. Retired again 12 August 84, sold, stored then purchased by Qantas as a training aid. Sold to HARS 2006 & under restoration to fly.

The RAAF Museum's Harvard was badly damaged in an accident at West Sale on 2 December 2004. Subsequently sold and trucked to HARS for rebuild in November 2010.

This aircraft is actually a hybrid. When VH-ALI, ex cn DHA436/A17-394, was withdrawn from service in 1959, Airwork P/L at Archerfield combined major parts with other Tigers and re-registered the re-built aircraft using their own cn as VH-AWH. It was later re-registered again as VH-SNJ, then VH-IVN. It was acquired by manufacturer De Havilland Australia and rebuilt again, being re-registered VH-DHV. Still owned by DHA but operated by HARS.

This 1976 Skylane was initially registered N9902M. However it was exported new to Australia and registered VH-RKC on 17 December that year. It was later re-registered VH-APN(4).

Parked by the fence at the northern end of the aerodrome, advertising the HARS museum. Registered new as G-APYP on 8 Mar 60. Imported into Australia for MMA and registered VH-MMP(2) 'RMA Pilbara' on 3 Feb 64. Used for charter work. In '69 it was due to charter for Ansett Airlines of PNG, but broke down at Horn Is on the ferry flight to New Guinea. After remaining there for 5 weeks, ferried to Bankstown, then Moorabbinn. Sold to Motif Air, Melbourne, 12 Jul 70. Eventually became derelict at Bankstown.

A blast from the past! This aircraft was originally registered OK-OHC but came to Australia in 1962, the only one of its type ever to do so. After a spell on charter operations, it was acquired by Ansett-ANA. It spent 1966 in New Guinea operating with Ansett-MAL. Withdrawn in 1967, it passed through a succession of private hands until ending up at HARS for restoration and re-painting in this attractive original scheme. Built new for the RAAF and delivered to 10 Squadron, Townsville, 24 May 1962. On 6 December 1977 it made the last RAAF Neptune flight, from Townsville to Amberley, for disposal. In June 1978 it was sold to the Chewing Gum Field Museum, Tallebudgera QLD, and trucked to the Museum. In 1989 it was dontated to the Australian Flying Museum and moved to Archerfield the following year. In 1992 the registration VH-NEP was reserved, but never taken up - confusingly not the currently-registered VH-NEP.

One of two Huey Cobras at HARS for restoration, this aircraft was built as an AH-1S (PROD), later re-designated AH-1P, and operated by the US Army. In May 2009 it was delivered to HARS at Albion Park for static restoration.

This Aerobat was registered new in Australia on 3 June 1974.

This aircraft made its first flight at Fishermans Bend on 27 September 1956 and was delivered to the RAAF the following month. After service at 1 BFTS, and later 76 Squadron as a FAC aircraft, it was stored dismantled at Moorebank , NSW between 1985 & 1996. Sold at auction in 1996 and civil registered as VH-KHZ on 11 February 1997. Re-registered as VH-EAD on 30 April 2002 and currently on loan to HARS.

This 1954 Beaver was for many years registered in Canada as C-FHXX, latterly to Air Nootka. Its Canadian registration was cancelled in 1988 and it came to Australia, being registered VH-SYS on 8 March 1994. Seen here at Wings Over the Illawarra 2011.

This kit-built Zodiac was registered with RAAus on 22 October 2010.

Built as a Mk 30, this was the first production Avon-Sabre for the RAAF, delivered to 1 AD on 19 August 1954. Allocated to ARDU for test-flying, then squadron service with various units including 76 Squadron's Black Panthers aerobatic team. Converted to Mk 31 status with '6-3' fixed leading edge wing. Retired in December 1966 & scheduled to be converted to components, but rescued and displayed at the Mildura Warbirds Museum for many years. Donated to Bankstown Aviation Museum 1999 & passed on to HARS 2006
