Taxying in after a practice flight. Built to USAAF order as 42-104687 but diverted to the RNZAF as Kittyhawk Mk IV NZ3215. Sold for scrap post-War and remained Asplin's Supplies, Rukuhia NZ, 1952-60. Rescued and hulk eventually purchased by Allan Arthur and exported to Australia. Restoration work at Wangaratta and Deniliquin. Restoration completed at Ardmore, NZ, 2004-6. Registered ZK-ZOC 6 April 06 (ff 11 April). Shipped to Australia Aug 06 and registered VH-ZOC 21 September 2006.

Ferried to Australia as ZK-EUW and delivered to the RAAF 7 May 1982. Sold 13 Dec 1993. Civil registered on 13 December 1993. Seen here the evening before the RAAF Museum Air Pageant.

Built to RAAF order as a basic trainer and made its first flight at CAC's Fisherman's Bend aerodrome on 10 December 1956. Served with the RAAF until sold on 26 May 1970. Stored stripped and dismantled under various owners until acquired by Jeff Trappett in 1989. Restored at Point Cook, Latrobe Valley and Toowoomba. First flight at Toowoomba 7 April 1995. Currently based at Latrobe Valley and seen here arriving for the RAAF Museum Air Pageant.

Built for the RAAF as A20-653. Purchased by CAC for conversion to Ceres April 1960, stored stripped. Sold November 1963, restored 1970-75. First flight 4 December 1975. Various owners including loan to Airworld Museum, Wangaratta 1988-99. With the Temora Museum since October 1999. Seen here arriving at the RAAF Museum Air Pageant.

GFS has used this 1982-model King Air since 27 April 2007 for the turbine twin segment of its airline pilot training courses. Formerly NSW-based, it was first registered in Australia on 8 December 1987. Before that it was N6236U, N8FF & N5FW. This aircraft seems to have replaced King Air C90 VH-LYG which came a gutser at Moorabbin when the nose gear wouldn't come down in August 2006.

No Roulettes this year, but Chopper 2 was at the RAAF Museum Air Pageant in support of two PC-9s from CFS, and to do a winching display in its own right. In the background is my 'office' for the weekend. :-)

Built to an Australian order but allocated USAAC serial 41-23182 for admin purposes. Taken on RAAF charge 5 Dec 1941 (two days before the war in the Pacific started) as A16-112. Served with 14, 32 & 6 Sqns, RAAF Survey Flight. Sold 29 Nov 46 & acquired by East West Airlines, civilianised & reg VH-BNJ Apr 49, later VH-EWA. Sold to Adastra Airways Jul 53 & re-reg VH-AIU, later VH-AGS. Withdrawn Apr 73 & restored by Malcolm Long at Point Cook & Moorabbin 76-93. First flight as VH-KOY 10 Apr 93.

This aircraft is really the former RAAF A68-170, built in 1949. Never actually off RAAF charge, it has been with the RAAF Museum since 1970 and was restored to flying condition during 1989-99. Seen here after a practice session on the day before the RAAF Museum Air Pageant.
