Wing walkers are what you need in a Tiger! This is actually the third Tiger Moth (& the 5th aircraft) to carry the registration VH-RVE: the other Tigers were both old Royal Victorian Aero Club machines. This particular example was built in the UK in 1941 for the RAF as T7093. Post-war it became G-AMMX and later found its way to New Zealand as ZK-BAN, before coming to Australia for a 14-year re-build.

According to what's painted on the side of this Stearman, it is a PT-17. However, according to its cn it was built as a PT-18 Kaydet with a Jacobs engine to a 1940 USAAC order and allocated the military serial 40-1971. It was first registered in Australia on 25 May 1998 and is currently operated by Nigel Arnot out of Brisbane. Seen here at the Wide Bay International Airshow.

After RAAF service, this fairly late-production Wirraway was bought back by CAC in March 1960 for possible conversion to a Ceres ag aircraft. This did not occur and in November 1963 the aircraft was sold for scrap. Rescued by Pearce Dunn, it was kept at his museum at Mildura between 1970 & 1982. Sold for restoration at Point Cook and then Caboolture, it made its first post-restoration flight at Caboolture on 8 July 1997. Still based at Caboolture but seen here at the Wide Bay International Airshow.

This relatively early Wirraway had the real RAAF serial A20-81 and served with 5 SFTS. Retired in May 1957, it was sold for scrap. Rescued by Pearce Dunn and kept at his museum at Mildura 1975-80. Restored at Essendon 87/89 and Caboolture 92/95. Currently based Caboolture and seen here touching down at the Wide Bay International Airshow.

The Marines colour scheme is just a masquerade for this Harvard, which was built to an RAF order as EX743 (assigned USAAF serial 41-33716) but diverted to New Zealand. Arrived in August 1943 and assigned serial NZ1040. Served with the RNZAF until 1978 and sold on 1 May. Stored until '83 when acquired by the Confederate Air Force (NZ Wing) as restoration project. Registration ZK-REB was reserved, but sold to Mareeba, Qld., on 2 Oct '99. Registered VH-XXH on 7 Mar '00 and first flight 11 Jul '01.
