The Philippines received 36 Fuji-built trainers starting in 1958

Displayed in the International Terminal. Built in 1935 for Jean Batten and used for her solo flights to Brazil in 1935 and to New Zealand in 1936. After being impressed into the RAF during WWII it was returned to Percival Aircraft in 1946 and stored in a canvas hangar when its CofA expired in 1955. It was presented to the Shuttleworth Collection in 1961 and made it's last flight in the UK at Old Warden in 1994 before being cancelled from the British Register in March 1995 after it was sold to New Zealand as ZK-DPR.

In 2025, this aircraft is flying for GetJet Airlines as LY-DUE and at the time of the upload had just flown a sector from Nador, Morocco to Frankfurt.

Another colourful bird of VS-41 the 'Shamrocks' is on short final for Rwy 29. Please note the blue cartoon figure on the tail and the small green shamrocks attached to its feet, that's neat!

Manila was the last haven for many of the world's surviving YS-11s and it was great to catch this superbly painted and rarely seen example departing on a package flight. The aircraft has Korean Air Lines, Philippine Airlines, TOA Domestic, JAS, Air Aruba and Asian Spirit among its previous operators but unfortunately veered off the runway on landing at MNL on 16.11.06 and is no longer in service
