Debut of the prototype Cessna Caravan "Hot Wings". This a/c has extensive wing modifications and now uses the Walter turbine engine. After little interest in the design and the bankruptcy of AOG Air Support, the aircraft was returned to its original condition and the Hot Wings" concept is shelved.

The "Hot Wings Caravan" was developed in Kelowna at AOG Air Support. It had a modified wing and huge winglets and a Walter turbine engine. It didn't gain much interest and following the bankruptcy of AOG Air Support the Caravan was sold and returned to its original factory condition and the Walter engine was removed in favor of the PT-6. It later became a cargo carrier under various US owners and is no longer carried on the US registry.

Bombardier operates this a/c in training Canadian Forces pilots at Portage la Prairie. Stopped at AOG to have a checkup.
