This TyumenAviaTrans Mil Mi-26T was seen near Zagreb's Pleso Airport while on contract to the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) which was the first United Nations peacekeeping force in former Yugoslavia, formed in Feb. 1992. Skylink of Canada hired civil contract aircrews to support UN units in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia and serve Sarajevo. The Mi-26 was use to airlift supplies to remote bases and large metal shipping containers installed by the UN as observation posts along the new borders. The high time crew previously flew in Siberian oil fields. Later to UTAir.

Delivered to Hapag-Lloyd in March 1989. Leased to Futura (EC-IPF) in June 2003. Over to Jetair (OO-TUI) in February 2004. Transferred to Jet4You (CN-RPC) in October 2007. Left the fleet September 2011. In May 2012 to Trawelfly (lsd from Mistral Air) as EI-ETT. Stored Bournemouth (BOH) in Nov2013. Converted to freigther and delivered to Jetran (N240JT) in January 2014, but in March 2014 already stored Tampa (Fl). Since March 2016 leased to Modern Logistics (PP-YBA) and current at date of upload.

Delivered new to CSA in April 1992. In August 2011 over to Eurolot (SP-EFI). Stored Warsaw in April 2013. In January 2014 returned to lessor and ferried to Kemble, for storage and scrapping.

Delivered new to Lufthansa Cityline as C-GRJO in December 1992. Re-registred D-ACLC one month later. Returned to Bombardier in December 2006. Over to ALMA de Mexico (XA-UHB) in April 2007. wfu in November 2008. In February 2009 to JetLink EXpress (5Y-JLB). That became African Express Airways (5Y-AXG) in 2014. Current at date of upload.

Crashed on the 4th of August 2018 at Piz Segnas in the Graubünden area of the Alps with the loss of all lives.

Returned to lessor in Nov1999 and over to KLM UK subsidiary Buzz (G-BZZB) in Jan2000 and to Easyjet in 2003. wfu in April 2004. In May 2004 to DBA (D-ADIF). Merged into Air Berlin in Nov 2006. In June 2009 to SkyEurope (OM-CLC), for the summer only. Stored Fujairah (FJR) in April 2010. Since July 2012 Avia Traffic Company (EX-37010) and current at date of upload.

New delivered to Finnair in December '78 for immediate lease to Austral Líneas Aéreas (N8714Q). Returned to Finnair as OH-LYW in November 1980. In July 2003 to UM air (UR-CBV). Store Beirut (BEY) since September 2010

Delivered to Ghana Airways in February 1983. Impounded in May 2002 at Heathrow, for one month, when airline became in liquidation. Impounded again at Rome FCO in June 2003. Stored at FCO for at least 2 more years. no further reports. Scrapped at FCO??

Delivered new to Sun Express in March 1991. in March 2001 to British Airways (G-LGTE). Returned to lessor in June 2009. Until November 2012 to Webjet Linhas Aéreas Econômicas (PR-WJT). Broken up Marana (AZ) in 2013.

Delivered new to Cityflyer Express in April 1993. Painted in BA-colours in July '93.Returned to lessor in April 2001. In December 2002 to Alliance Air (VT-ABD). wfu in 2015.

Leasejet from ILFC; operating for Onur Air between April '93 and November '97. Over to Lotus Air in December '97 (SU-LBA) and to Skyservice Airlines in Dec 2002. (C-FTDD). In Oct 2003 to Air Arabia and between April 2004 and August 2012 Windjet (EI-DFO). Stored since Oct 2013.

Delivered new to Condor Flugdienst in March 1974 (D-ABWI). TUR was 2nd operator of this bird,flying from March 1990 until Sept '94. Over to Holiday Air in July '95 (TC-RAC) and KTHY- Kibris Turkish Airlines in July '96. In November '96 already over to Safair (opf Sunair) as ZS-NZV. Broken up Johannesburg in 2009.

Delivered Hapag-lloyd Flug in December 1990. In April 2007 to Jetairfly (OO-JAT). Returned to lessor in September 2012. Over to Blu-Express in July 2013 (I-BPAL). To Albawings in 2016 (ZA-AWA) until back to lessor in February 2020. In use as anstruction airframe at Jinan since 22 Aug 2020.

Delivered new to RAS-Rheinland Air Service in August '91. in December '96 over to Sunstate Airlines (VH-SUF). wfu July 2001. Since March 2007 Air Cargo Carriers (N764JR)

ex Norway Airlines (LN-NOS). Over to Air Columbus in March'92. Left the fleet in Nov '94. In April '95 to Air Malta (9H-ACT and in November already to TAP Air Portugal (CS-TIO).

Delivered Condor Flugdienst in July 1991. Returned to lessor ILFC in December '93 for lease to Air Europe Italy (EI-CIY). Re-registered I-AEIY in February '99. wfu December 2002. In March 2003 to Sobelair (OO-SLT) with sublease to DCA-Dutch Caribbean Airlines between May 2003 and Feb 2004, when returned to lessor.
