One of the final batch of Eagle 300s, this sprayer is still working at the time of uploading. Bellanca Aircraft was originally contracted to manufacture the Eagle at Alexandria in 1979. In 1981, financial troubles with Bellanca saw Eagle Aircraft buy the the building where they were built and hire 72 Bellenca employees to continue production. 95 aircraft had produced when production ceased in 1983.

On a rare visit to London, this was the personal aircraft of Mozambique's president Samora Machel. He was killed aboard the same aircraft when it crashed in the Lebombo mountains at Mbuzini in eastern Transvaal on 19 Oct 86 after navigational problems and a 32-sec GPWS warning

The fourth F-27 built, delivered to Aer Lingus on 19.11.58 as EI-AKB, also served Philippine A/l, Alia, Spantax, Aviaco and WDL before becoming the first large aircraft with Manx in 9.82. Went on to Loganair in 9.83 and back to WDL in 1986. Wfu and used for fire practice at Västerås 4.96. I reckon it looked gorgeous in the Manx colours, like it must have done way back in the old Aer Lingus scheme
