Converted from KC-97G to C-97G. Leased to Balair as HB-ILY and operated for the Red Cross by Foundation for Airborne Relief in the Biafran Air Lift. Returned to USAF and to MASDC in July 1971. Declared excess in May 1972 and moved to Pima Air Museum

An unforgettable sight, rows of KC-97s. 52-0282 entered MASDC in 1965 but returned to service with 106th ARG at Tucson in October 1970. Preserved at Linear Air Park, Dyess AFB, TX by 2003

Retired to MASDC in 1965. Carries markings of 9th Strategic Aerospace Wing, Mountain Home AFB, ID

Originally delivered to Pan American in 1940 as NC19903. After several sales, including service with the Haiti Air Force (1953) and storage, it was moved to Davis-Monthan for preservation in 1973, the last intact survivor of 10 built. Seen here in the markings of its last operator, it was later restored to its original Pan Am livery in 1994 and flew again in 2001. Following a ditching incident in Elliott Bay, WA in 2002, the aircraft was recovered, restored to flying condition, and finally flown to Washington-Dulles, VA in 2003 for permanent preservation with the National Air and Space Museum

This Utah ANG 'Strat' entered MASDC in 1.78 and remained intact until 1994 but was broken up by Dross Metals after that. The nose section was saved by a museum at Long Beach, CA; in 2007 it was at the El Mirage yard of Aviation Warehouse
