The only time I ever saw a Javelin fly (other than in school athletics), XH897 of "A" Fighter Test Squadron A&AEE is seen here departing after static display at the 1971 Coltishall BoB Day. Now of course a well-known exhibit at Duxford. Taken with a borrowed 400mm of dubious quality, but a unique slide in my collection.

Operated as a chase aircraft by 'A' Fighter Test Squadron of the A&AEE based at Boscombe Down. Exhibited at the 1971 Battle of Britain display at RAF Coltishall Norfolk.

Vulcan B.2 of 230 Operational Conversion Unit based at RAF Scampton. Delivered in September 1959 and disposed of in April 1982.
